Maddox and Gracie's Story
Maddox and Gracie met in Mrs. Roudabush’s sixth-grade math class. They were instantly friends and eventually started a very middle-school version of “dating.” Though their relationship came to an end, they were always friendly in high school and around the same groups of people.
Maddox and Gracie had not seen each other in years, but In the summer of 2024, Maddox and Gracie re-met. They were both hired as counselors at Deer Run, a christian camp where they began seriously dating again.
On October 10, without Gracie knowing, Maddox traveled from Vermont to Tennessee to propose. The journey came with its challenges, including a 12-hour flight delay followed by another delay, but he eventually made it. Gracie was completely surprised to see Maddox waiting for her as she arrived at Morris Vineyard.
